Top Website Designs

The Semantic Website Designs is meant to be the successor to the Website Designs we all use and love today. Its architect is no other than the creator of the web, Tim Berners-Lee. The idea behind the Semantic Web is making it easy for machines to understand a site’s content. Website Designs development languages today, i.e., HTML, are designed for making content easily readable by people. It is very hard for software agents to extract the semantics (or meaning) of a website since no such information can be encoded by webmasters using HTML or any other popular web development technology used today.

The new Website Designs will require a whole new set of technologies that will allow webmasters to specify the meaning of a website’s content. These technologies are Extensible HTML (XML), Uniform Resource Identifiers (URI), Resource Description Framework (RDF) and the Web Ontology Language (OWL) to name the most important ones. Every object will have a unique identifier or URI and as such an agent could uniquely refer to it. The RDF will allow developers to specify the relationships between different objects. RDF models are currently specified using XML syntax. Lastly, OWL will allow developers to create even more complex relationships among objects and also define ontologies and mappings among them so that all agents can essentially talk the same language using the same vocabulary.

Like I said earlier, the Semantic Website Designs is about organizing the web’s information such that software agents can understand it. The information will be presented to the agent in a format that is easy to understand so that the Semantic Website Designs is not about adding Artificial Intelligence to the current web. Once information is easily accessible by the agents, they will be able to crawl the web and use this information to assist human users in everyday activities. Such activities may include scheduling appointments and finding relevant information to a task given a person’s geographical location and time constraints. The possibilities are limitless.

One important aspect behind the semantic Website Designs is the notion of trusted sources of information. Agents will not visit websites that have not been established as trusted sources of information. This is largely different than the way today’s search engine bots crawl all websites and rank relevance of their content to a query according to keyword density. Or in other words, once the Semantic Website Designs becomes the norm, it will be difficult for webmasters to use current search engine optimization techniques to rank high on search engines and drive free traffic to their site. This will hopefully eliminate many junk websites and of course benefit those of us who are trying to provide web users with meaningful content.

The Semantic Website Designs , however, has one major flaw and it has nothing to do with the fundamental idea behind it but the intricate technologies that are meant to drive it. In fact, just recently during a presentation, Tim Berners-Lee was asked by Google executive and one of the top Artificial Intelligence scientists, Dr. Peter Norvig, the following, “What I get a lot is: "Why are you against the Semantic Web?" I am not against the Semantic Web. But from Google's point of view, there are a few things you need to overcome, incompetence being the first.” He is of course referring to the difficulty of the average user and web developer to understanding and using the technologies behind the Semantic Website Designs . The potential for abuse by mischievous webmasters is real and Google already knows all about that. One thing is for sure however and that is whether Google opposes it or not, the Semantic Website Designs is the future even if the technologies behind it require some refinement.

So, since the Semantic Website Designs is in our future, we should do our best to be ready for when it arrives. Try to familiarize yourselves with the correct terminology and the new technologies. Integrate them into your Website Designs or at least design it in such a way that it would be easy to make it part of the Semantic Website Designs with little effort. There already exist search engines and tools that are capable of parsing semantic information in websites. If you are one of the early adopters of this technology, don’t be surprised if you are ahead of the pack in a couple of years. And we all know that being ahead in search engine results equals huge profits. So, what are you waiting for?

It is possible to specify alternate content to be displayed for browsers that do not support Flash. Using alternate content also helps search engines to understand the page, and can result in much better visibility for the page. The designers who are used to table-based layouts, they developed Web sites in CSS f replicating what can be done with tables, leading some to find CSS design rather awkward.

Seo Software

As a web site designer I work with clients, but I also talk with online business newbies, and on a regular basis I see that people don't have a clue about what they should have as a web site Seo Software. They know what they want but they don't realize the need for pre-planning the structure and content of a web site in today's market place, The Internet .

That led me to write this article. I trust it will help new online business owners preplan before they jump right into creating an online business web site that just sits there.

There are step-by-step solutions to online business web site success.

Step #1 - Target Group, finding your best prospects can be the difference between earning pennies and dollars.

Researching your ideal target group is so important that it should be step 1, 2 and 3. New online business owners don't seem to focus their attention on their target audience, instead they seem to think that if they build it people will come, and spend all their hard earned money on your site.

Well I guess it would be silly to make your target group focus as step 1-3, but when you think about it, your target group is all important in online business success and for that reason it should be part of all pre-planning steps. Without a target group you are just wasting your time and cluttering the Internet with more pages that will never be seen or read.

Okay so the first step is to know your target group. Learn all you can about them, because the more you know the more likely you will be to find more ways to sell to them. Plus you will be able to find complimentary products that your target audience would like.

Knowledge is POWER, but only if you apply the knowledge you gain to your Internet marketing and offline marketing Seo Software.

Just a note about target groups. If you have a hobby that you spend lots of money on you should be setting up an online business to promote what you know best.

Step #2 - Keywords and Phrases your best prospect uses to find what you sell.

Your new online business web site will need to be keyword and content focused for best results. Spend plenty of time learning the keywords and phrases that your best prospect would type into a search engine text box to find exactly what they want.

Learn how to contact your target group and ask them some questions through surveys. The time you spend on learning your target audience will be time well spent and remember that your time is worth money. Everything comes down to your ROI - Return On Investment

.

Your time is part of that investment, so make the best of it.

The more you learn the more you can earn, it is as simple as that.

Step #3 - Competition can be a online business destroyer if you are not prepared for it, but learning what they do can actually put you ahead of them in the major search engines.

If you take the time now to learn who you are competing with you will spend far less time changing your web site content later and again time is money. The more time you spend wasting your time the less income you will be earning and the more frustrated you will become. Eventually that leads to either total meltdown and quitting or it forces the Internet marketing newbie to spend the time learning and fixing web site problems.

So you see the time you spend at the beginning in pre planning your online business web site will be a much better ROI than trial and error strategies.

Find your competitor's web sites and learn all you can about their use of keywords and phrases they use to attract their target group. You will also want to view their source code to discover what keywords they use in their title, description and keyword tags.

Step #4 - Find sites that compliment your site and products.

Again your competitors can help you succeed. You can learn about web sites with products and services that would compliment your products and services and that means more income for you.

If you are selling cars you might just want links on your site that would show your prospects how they could improve the appearance or performance of their car.

Always try to make it a win-win situation. You provide the best products and services you can and in turn your target group will come back to your site and buy from you. Plus they will follow the links you have to more products and services.

So like I said from the start...

1. Know your target group
2. Learn the keywords your target group uses to find what you provide.
3. Study your competitors and do what they do for success and then go one step further.
4. Find sites that compliment yours and link with them so you provide better service to your target group.

Once you have done all your research you are ready to build.

One of the most important aspects of having success online is to use your limited marketing and time resources in the most effective way possible. In other words, you need to get as much return on your investment as you can by spending the smallest amount of resources (which could be monetary or time-related). For Internet marketing, there is one excellent strategy that answers all of the requirements from above – it’s called viral marketing.

Through viral marketing you initiate an action and then allow it to propagate, much like water ripples would do in a pond if you threw a rock in the water. The whole concept uses the “word of mouth” idea, but is ads the speed and efficiency of virtual communication.

On the Internet, a viral marketing campaign may bring your website a huge amount of traffic for an initial investment that is almost negligible.

One of the most important, effective and easy to use tools of viral marketing is the process of submitting articles to directories – let’s have a look at how this works and why it’s so effective in Internet Marketing.

How does it work?

The process is simple and you don’t need any programming skills to initiate a viral marketing campaign. Simply write a high quality article, or commission someone else to do it for you. Choose a topic that is related to your website, but make sure it addresses issues that are of general interest in the target audience.

For example, if you own a site on dog training or dog products, you might want to write a more general article on this topic, as that has a better chance of spreading around. Add a “resource box” at the end of the article, writing about yourself in the 3rd person and describing your website.

Also make sure to add at least one active link in your resource box – note that some directories will require you to place HTML code with your links in order to make them active. Here is what the link code should look like:

Of course, replace the URL and the description of the site to suit your needs. Your article is good to go and now it's time to submit it to several directories, for increased efficiency. Make sure to choose the appropriate category where the site will appear. It also helps if you can find some niche-specific article directories. Some great resources to submit your articles to are:

Getting back to the dog training site example from above, you might want to look for specific, pet-resource oriented directories. The efficiency of submitting to specialized directories is a lot higher than general content directories, but there are also fewer of them and it’s hard to locate more than a bunch of really good ones.

A great pet related resource to submit articles is:

If you are already submitting articles, but you're looking for an easier and faster method, you might want to try an automatic article submitter. It will submit your article to over 30 directories in half an hour. To watch a video on how to do this, go to:

The Basics of Optimization

Many online sellers get frustrated with search engines regularly changing algorithms. But there are basic principles that haven’t changed through the years. Apply these tips to increase your rankings:

Tip 1 Don’t be too quick to change domain names. Google has an aging delay for any new domainit can take up to a year for your keywords to start showing in the searches.

Tip 2 Optimize your site for your target audience, not the search engines. Always think about what impression your site gives your usersyou’ll create a better site the engines will like.

Tip 3 Do KEYWORD RESEARCH extensively. Everything else revolves around the keyword phrases you choose, so it’s critical you choose the best ones. are two information databases that show you what words people are searching for and suggest words you can use.

Tip 4 Design and categorize your site architecture and navigation based on your keyword research. Jill Whalen, founder of , says, “Your homepage should be optimized for the more general phrases…Your inner pages should be optimized for the more specific .” If possible, use keyword phrases as your navigation words.

Tip 5 Program your site to be “crawler” friendly. Search engines send out “crawlers” to gather information from your site so they understand how to rank it.

• Create your links using HTML, not javascript. Crawlers can’t follow javascript and won’t be able to read your information.

• Don’t design your site in Flash there’s nothing for the crawlers to read. If they can’t interpret the information, they can’t classify your site.

• Make sure your copy is HTML, not a graphic of a text. It may look like copy. But if you have a text graphic, all the crawlers will see is a blank page.

Tip 6 Label your internal text links and clickable image ALT attributes as descriptively as possible. Within the text links in your site, use the phrase that describes the page you’re clicking to. For image links, make sure those phrases are contained in the image’s code.

Tip 7 Write compelling copy for key pages of your site based on your chosen keyword phrases. Choose a few keyword phrases that apply to the particular page you’re writing and work those phrases into the copy.

Tip 8 Incorporate your keyword phrases into each page’s unique title tag. Title tags are given significant weight with search engines. The title tag is the information that shows up in the search engine results so it’s crucial that it be enticing, not just crammed with keywords.

Tip 9 Make sure your site is link-worthy. Search engines judge a site’s popularity by the number of links pointing to it. To make sure people will want to link to your site, you have to offer something worth linking to. Beyond your product or service, you need something that puts you over the top: an information service, a superior presentation, or great variety.

Tip 10 Don’t be married to any one keyword or phrase. Optimize for all the relevant phrases. Says Whalen, “If you can rank highly for a good portion of them, they’re going to add up to a lot more than just that one keyword phrase that you think is the good big money one.”
